When Beacon Hill Farm sold part of their land it was sold as individual privately owned freehold plots split up into over 500 plots for the use of touring caravans which later evolved to static caravans and today Waterside Park has a total of 582 plots. Two are used by staff for 12 month security cover.

Waterside Park is a combination of land owned by individual freeholders with their own caravans and partly owned by a Leisure business that has changed hands every few years.

The freehold Land plots have their own Caravan Site Licence issued by the local Maldon District Council.

Currently the leisure business based at the front entrance of Waterside is Park Resorts Limited who combine their Holiday caravan sales & pitch rental business with acting as a management business for the whole of the park for such tasks as maintaining the roads.

Freehold Land Plots are spread throughout Waterside Park.

Saint Lawrence Bay offers a quiet place to holiday on The tidal Blackwater River, there is a slipway on the Park with about a four hour high tide window for launches.  St Lawrence Bay Slipway

The onsite friendly independent Cafe & Shop make you feel at home with reasonably priced and excellent meals or snacks - 7 days a week.

Campers also enjoy the site with tents and touring caravans in the summer season so the smell of a BBQ is common.

There are toilets and showers at the reception block close to the entrance.

Nearby attractions include fishing, boating / sailing clubs, steam railway, cinema, dogs are allowed. Have a look at the News & Events page to see more information about popular nearby attractions.
